The first thing I was interested in getting from Glosser was this Perfecting Skin Tint. I’ve heard so much about it through YouTube videos that I wanted to try it myself since I’m all about that natural looking makeup. Recently I’ve been skipping foundation either because I don’t feel the need to put it on or I’m just too lazy so this sounded like just what I needed. I got this in the shade, dark. There are five shades from light to rich; mine is right in the middle. When I put this on my skin, I didn’t see any coverage but it added a bit of liveness to my face. If you are looking for something with coverage, this isn’t for you. This tones your skin evenly and has a glowy finish (but not too glowy so your skin doesn’t look oily)- to be honest, personally I would have loved for it to be more dewy. As far as the packaging goes, I really like that it’s simple, perfect for traveling, and dispenses just the right amount when you squeeze the product out. I am not sure if I would repurchase it again but for now I am quite satisfied with it. Note, though, I would only use this one on days when I don’t need coverage on my skin at all, maybe for running out to pick up delivery or get milk from the grocery store.
The next thing I got is the Generation G lipstick. This is more of a lip balm than a lipstick but still gives you a strong color on your lips. I saw this lip color on Allana Davison, who is my current favorite YouTuber, and it looked gorgeous on her. Watch her video here– you’ll love her too if you don’t already know her. The shade I got is Crush and it’s a raspberry color. Although this lipstick is more on the sheer side, you can build it up and make it look bolder. I am completely in love with it and want to purchase all the other colors soon!
I generally don’t like to fuss with cream makeup too much but after reading some great reviews on the Cloud Paint blushes, I added one in my cart. I got the shade, Beam, a peachy tone. I’ve tried using it two ways: (a) put a little bit (a little goes a long way) on the back of my hand and dip my duo fiber brush into it and apply it on my cheeks, and (b) do the same but use fingers to directly apply it. I honestly liked both ways but prefer using the brush just because I don’t like to get my fingers messy. The formula turns into a powdery finish and is very easy to easy to blend- I feel like this is a fool-proof cream blush. I wore this blush for more than 8 hours the other day and it looked flawless throughout and by the end of the day so I would say that it has a pretty long lasting power.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my Glossier purchases and excited to try other things from the brand such as skincare. Have you tried any of their products? What do you think about them?
