What I Eat in a Week
Today I’m sharing some of the meals I had throughout last week. Keep scrolling if you are in for some deliciousness!
One of my favorite Korean dishes: cold noodles aka naengmyeon. It is the best dish for those hot summer nights because the noodles are served in icy cold broth. I usually put the broth in advance in the freezer before I make naengmyeon so it’s slightly frozen when it’s ready to serve- it’s so much better that way!
Bbq ribs with mac and cheese. I tried making mac and cheese in a cupcake tin and it was surprisingly quite difficult to make it the way I wanted it to turn out. Perhaps the temperature wasn’t high enough but it took forever to brown the bread crumbs. The taste was fine but I guess I prefer the regular way of making mac and cheese. The ribs were good as usual- super soft and come right off the bones. The tip here is to boil the ribs first for about 40 minutes before putting them in the oven.
One night we ordered in from our favorite Chinese noodle restaurant in Midtown West called Chong Qing Xiao Mian. Their food quality is great and not Americanized if you know what I mean so you can really get that authentic Chinese flavors. Besides the noodles, we also ordered some steamed dumplings because let’s be honest, noodles alone are never enough for us.
Shake Shack burgers and hot dog with fries. It was our cheat day so we just had to do it. No shame here.
I love sharing what I eat with you guys and hopefully you enjoy reading this series as well!
