What I Wore || Summer Dresses + Outfit Ideas

How cute is this dress from asos? It checks off all the things on the trend list: ruffles, bow, off the shoulder, & cold shoulder. It’s got everything! At first, I thought the tie might make the dress look too busy but it doesn’t at all- it actually cinches in my waist nicely. The quality doesn’t feel cheap and I really appreciate the detail that this dress has.

This is the most comfortable off the shoulder dress I own. Such an easy piece. You just throw it on and you are out the door! I love easy pieces like this that still make you look super cute and summery. It is very flowy and the material isn’t bad at all. Another thing I love about this dress is that the shoulder part stays on where it’s supposed to be. I’ve worn many off the shoulder pieces that just annoyingly go up to my neck as my arms move around, but this one doesn’t do that.

I purchased this English Factory top from Shopbop about a month ago and I’m finally getting around to wearing it. I matched it with a pair of denim shorts for a casual look. I like that the top is a two in one shirt. It’s very comfortable and casual looking but still gives you that feminine touch to the outfit because of the lace detail. True to size. It’s on sale right now for around $50.

This ruffly dress is perfect for those days when it’s unbelievably hot. The bottom part is flowy enough to keep your legs cool and the fabric isn’t too thick so it’s a rather breezy dress. I like that the ruffles are in different tiers, adding a bit more volume to the silhouette. I also like the little bow detail on the shoulder straps because you can adjust the length of the straps to your liking.

I wore this outfit out on a picnic last week and loved the functionality of it- the culottes kept me cool even though it was really hot out and were amazingly comfortable. They are very high-waisted but not super tight around the belly area so they’re good for when you want to hide your food baby bump. I styled them with a simple white t-shirt so I could keep it simple and clean looking. I also added a bandana to finish off the look. The culottes I’m wearing here are from Zara but all sold out so I’ll link some similar options down below.

Everything in this post is affordable and most of them are on sale so make sure to check them out; everything is linked right below. Thank you so much for reading!
